“Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” Luke 23:46
Darkness had come of the whole land and the sun stopped shining. These were the last words of Jesus before he died for our salvation.
These words are from Psalm 31 written by David and are part of an evening prayer that used daily by devout Jews.
“Into your hands I commit my spirit; redeem me, O LORD, the God of truth.” (Psalm 31:5)
Jesus entrusted himself to his Father. A perfect example and a reminder that we should daily commit our spirit to our Father.
This week we continue in Judges and we will finish Luke.
We will read –
Days 112 to 118 (Judges 2-3:31, Luke 21 – 38, Proverbs 10:11-30, Psalms 50- 52)
