“You are bringing strange ideas to our ears, and we want to know what you mean.”
Acts 17:20
In Acts 17 Paul visits Athens and shares the Gospel from Mars Hill (Areopagus) which is a massive marble mound next to the Acropolis. The Greeks sought wisdom and listened with open ears. “All the Athenians and foreigners who lived there spent their time doing nothing but talking about and listening to the latest ideas.”  Paul mentions that he saw an altar to “An Unknown God” in Athens and stated,

“Now what you worship as something unknown I am going to proclaim to you.”  Acts 17:23

Today 90% of the population in Greece is Christian and Greece is 1 of only 13 countries in the world where the official state religion is Christianity.
